What we collect
When you use the contact form we receive your name, your company or organisation if you provide it, your email address and your message. Together with the message, our server records the date and time of sending, the page of the site it was sent from and the IP address it came from, to protect the form against abuse.
Browsing the site does not collect personal data, apart from the technical logs that our hosting provider keeps for the operation and security of the service.
Purpose and legal basis
We use the data only to answer your enquiry and, if it leads to one, to manage the business relationship that follows. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. The IP address and the time of sending are processed for the security of the site, on the basis of our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f).
We do not use the data for marketing and we do not make automated decisions about you.
Who processes the data
Your message is delivered by email to our staff. Two providers process the data on our behalf, as data processors under Article 28 GDPR:
- SiteGround, which hosts the website on servers located in the Netherlands;
- Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd, which provides our email service through Microsoft 365, with data stored in Italy within the EU Data Boundary.
We do not sell or otherwise share your data.
Transfers outside the EU
Your data are processed within the European Union and are not transferred to other countries.
Retention
Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted within 24 months. Correspondence that becomes part of a contract is kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format, by writing to office@ammoimaging.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
